David Bevan

Glad to have Dave back in the club after a year or two away. He has not lost his ability, settling back into decent scores with a 94 within a week or so. Still using the Bickerstaffe bow and Dobbs' arrows with the green and white fletchings

David became a full member on 23rd May 2010 and won his first event – the highly prestigious Robert Wallis handicap trophy on 13th June (21 days later!). He then managed to win the Crecy handicap trophy in August by setting a personal best of 68. Later that year he came 2nd in the Agincourt trophy and finished 3rd in the Handicapped Averages, a quite remarkable achievement in only his first year.

Since then he’s won the 2011 and 2012 Agincourt Trophy, the 2011 Improvers Trophy, the 2011 and 2012 Highest Handicap Average, the 2012 Highest Score Trophy, and the Crecy handicap trophy for a 2nd time in 2013. He also achieved a club first in 2011 by scoring two 6 point flags on the same flag in the same round.

He has become a force to be reckoned with, having mastered the art of “rifle shooting”, with excellent effect. This has earned him the nickname, “Sniper Bevan”.
